Award seat search for iPhone

Award seats in one table.

Type the routes and dates in English or Chinese, or set them in the editor. AwardGrid puts seats.aero's cached award availability for several origins, several destinations and up to 92 days into one table. Each cell shows the lowest miles for each cabin you asked for, with the program and the seats left; each option also shows its fees and how old the data is.

How the table works

Questions

Is AwardGrid free?

The app is free, with no in-app purchase. Your own seats.aero data (optional): if you have a seats.aero account with API access (seats.aero decides which accounts have API access; AwardGrid sells nothing), you can connect it to see results from that account instead of sample data.

Do I need a seats.aero account?

No. Without one, AwardGrid shows sample data only: search, the List, Calendar and Matrix views, option details, compare, Saved and Watches all work on sample data made on your iPhone, labelled as sample data, and nothing is sent. If you have a seats.aero account with API access, you can connect it in Settings to see results from that account instead.

Is AwardGrid affiliated with seats.aero?

No. AwardGrid is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by seats.aero, any airline, or any loyalty program. Its data comes from seats.aero.

Will it alert me when award seats open up?

No. Watches are checked when you open or return to the app, and at no other time; there is no background check and no notification.

Is the availability live?

No. Results are seats.aero's cached availability, not a live search, and each shows how old it is. Confirm on the program's own site before you transfer points.

Which programs does it cover?

The 26 programs seats.aero lists, where seats.aero monitors the route. An empty result means seats.aero has no cached availability for that route and day, which can also mean seats.aero does not monitor the route.

Can I search in Chinese?

Yes. Type the routes and dates in English or Chinese, or set them in the editor. The app's interface is in English or Simplified Chinese.

Does it book tickets?

No. For an option it opens seats.aero's booking link when there is one; otherwise you copy the search. It never books.

Could AwardGrid stop working?

AwardGrid depends on seats.aero's Partner API and connects to your seats.aero account through seats.aero's own sign-in (Login with Seats.aero); seats.aero's terms apply to that account.

What it does not do

No airline sites It reads the seats.aero cache, or uses sample data made on your iPhone. It never opens an airline site for you, and it never asks for an airline or bank password.
No guaranteed schedule iOS cannot promise to run anything on a cadence, so AwardGrid does not claim one. Watches are checked when you open or return to the app, and at no other time; there is no background check and no notification.
No shared account Without your own seats.aero account, AwardGrid shows sample data only. It cannot search on someone else's behalf, and nobody can search on yours.
No live search Only seats.aero's cached availability. Cached data goes stale and awards disappear; confirm on the program's own site before transferring points.
No round trips Searches are one-way: no round trips, multi-city or passenger count.
No accounts, no analytics in the app No telemetry, no advertising, no tracking. The app's only server of its own is a small token service for seats.aero's sign-in, which stores nothing. These web pages count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, without cookies (privacy policy).
